EVALUATION

Descriptive studies of your program

Conduct studies of pre-k program characteristics, including child and family demographics, service delivery characteristics, and teacher qualifications.

Feasibility studies

Conduct studies to determine the feasibility of implementing various program designs or service delivery approaches, including examination of current practices, barriers to implementation, and small-scale pilot studies.

Full evaluation studies (including comparison samples)

Conduct studies to evaluate the effectiveness of pre-k programs (including comparison samples) by examining child outcomes and program quality.

Analyses of existing data

Conduct secondary data analyses using existing program data (pre-k and/or school-age; administrative and/or child level) to address questions about program services, quality, or effectiveness.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION

Professional development (PD) plans

Gather information about current PD activities, develop plans to promote the acquisition of new knowledge and skills, and suggest effective methods to support implementation in practice.

Needs assessments

Conduct needs assessments in multiple areas related to PD and pre-k programs to determine key issues related to implementing high quality services from the perspectives of various stakeholders.

Strategic planning

Help clients develop and carry out strategic plans for designing, piloting, and implementing pre-k programs, including determining key stakeholders, defining structures and processes for decision-making, and establishing methods for monitoring progress in meeting objectives.
